Where we come from

HotelTI was created to fill a gap: hotels usually get the same IT support as any office, from generic suppliers who do not know how a hotel operates. A hotel runs day and night, holds guests' personal and payment data, and depends on many systems from different suppliers working together. That calls for people who have run IT inside hotels.

For years we have worked alongside hotels, resorts and inns across Europe and Brazil, helping owners and managers make technology decisions that hold up in practice: IT that is planned rather than patched, security that fits the operation, and suppliers who are held to what they promised.

Our focus

Hiring an MSP, IT staff or a systems supplier is not the hard part. Making it all work together is. Most of the technology problems we find in hotels do not come from a single bad system. They come from the gaps between systems and suppliers: a PMS that does not talk properly to the booking engine or the POS, guest Wi-Fi sharing a network with the payment terminals, supplier contracts nobody has read since they were signed, and guest data that no one is clearly responsible for. And the hotel is only part of the picture: the head office adds cloud services, security and monitoring, data and integrations, sales and booking platforms, finance systems and AI, each with its own suppliers.

That is where we work, across the hotel and the head office. We give the hotel one party that looks at the whole picture, sets priorities by risk and cost, and holds each supplier to its part. We work directly with your IT and operations teams, so decisions fit how the hotel actually runs day to day.

How we work

  • Standards-based work: assessments and plans follow ISO 27001, NIST and ITIL, so the work is consistent, thorough and comparable over time
  • Agreed timelines, kept: we agree a realistic schedule at the start and tell you early if anything puts it at risk
  • Regular reporting to leadership: owners and managers get plain-language updates on progress, risks and the decisions needed from them
  • Clear roles: we lead planning, coordination and supplier management, bringing in specialists by project where hands-on technical work is needed, in standard business hours
  • Autonomy for your team: we document what we do and transfer knowledge, so your IT team becomes more self-sufficient instead of depending on us
  • English or Portuguese: we work and report in either language, which makes us a practical local technology lead for international groups operating in Brazil
  • Supplier commission: we do not hold agreements with specific suppliers, and any commission is only discussed after the hotel has agreed its price, without changing that price, and is always disclosed to the hotel

Standards and frameworks we apply

We do not sell certifications. We use the market's most widely adopted frameworks for information security, IT service management and compliance as working references, adapted to the size and reality of each hotel operation.

  • ISO/IEC 27001: information security controls used as the structural reference for assessments and compliance plans
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework: a practical structure for security programmes, from identifying risks and protecting systems to detecting, responding to and recovering from incidents
  • ITIL: IT service management with tickets, changes and measurable SLAs, applied in ongoing IT management
  • PCI DSS: security good practice for environments that process guest payments
  • LGPD: bringing processes, contracts and suppliers in line with Brazil's data protection law (see our Brazil compliance guide)
  • GDPR: for international groups whose policies follow the European regulation and hotels that market to guests in Europe, handled alongside the LGPD so one set of processes covers both
